The John Lewis Partnership is one of the UK's best known quality department store retailers, until now with one a presence in the domestic market and not yet retailing in travel locations, but this is about to change. Earlier this year it was announced that JLP would open in their first airport location, the new London Heathrow 'Queens Terminal 2', scheduled for June 2014. The product range will feature some of the Firm's own products, gifts designer brands and some exclusive products. It has not yet been clarified if these goods will be sold at Tax-Free prices, but the new Terminal will feature all the airlines belonging to the Star Alliance, most of whom fly to inter-continental destinations. Travellers flying outside the European Union territories can buy at duty-free and tax-free prices.

The Company has an extensive online pre-order website which already attracts orders from over 30 countries, even though they have no foreign stores. With such a grand presence in the new Terminal, this will certainly attract more interest in the Company and their stores in the London area.
