Starboard Cruise Services is now the largest retail operator for shops on board cruise ships, it is based in Miami Florida. The ports of Miami and Everglades, near Fort Lauderdale, embarque more cruise lines than anywhere else in the world and this Firm has the lion's share of the onboard business. The Company's retail partners include Carnival Cruise Lines, Royal Caribbean, Costa, Holland America, Celebrity and Norwegian Cruise Lines.

All sales on these ships are Tax-Free and Duty-Free when leaving the waters of the USA and calling at a foreign port, but bear in mind that most products (except liquors and tobaccos) are only free of the local sales tax, so prices at your destination could be lower.

The overall shipping onboard retail industry is decidedly slow to embrace internet shopping and it is currently very difficult to find detailed duty-free catalogues or prices for most cruise lines. We believe this situation will change soon, but at present most shipping lines only feature an outline detail of their stores on their website, rarely with specific products or prices.
