The Navy, Army and Air Force Institutes or NAAFI is the service organisation for the British Army, both in the UK and overseas. In certain overseas territories many goods are sold duty-free and tax-free, especially liquors and tobaccos. NAAFI also run an extensive motor dealership selling tax-free cars to troops stationed overseas.

The Navy and other Services also benefit from the tax-free goods supplied by the organisation, this includes the drinks supplied to messes, canteens and bars. The actual tax status of the goods depends on which products can be sold duty-free and the location, but in general, the supplies are only tax-free when sold outside the United Kingdom.
