The Inflight Service Group is based in Sweden and their core function is to provide onboard retail operations for airlines, especially travel charter operators such as TUI and Thomas Cook. They also provide food service, gifts, accessories and online pre-order services for passengers. In the area of online pre-order, prices and catalogues, the company is one of the most advanced in the Travel Retail Industry.

The Firm do have some airport retail stores in Sweden, Poland and Estonia, but their spread is limited. There is also a retail operation onboard a Norwegian Ferry line where full discount duty-free shopping is permitted because Norway is not a member of the European Community.

In late 2015 the Gate Group, a major airline and catering Firm, bought a 10% share of Inflight Service, bringing together on board retail and catering.
