EU Border Stores, (often described as Free Shops), at this frontier crossing are permitted to sell you duty free and tax-free products on departure. You are entitled to buy products such as cigarettes, tobaccos, perfume, cosmetics, electrical goods and gifts at duty free prices, providing you are leaving the country and travelling abroad as this European Union country has frontiers with non-EU member states.

Hellenic (Dufry) Duty Free operate numerous border stores at the frontier crossings with neighbouring non-EU countries, where you are permitted to buy duty free and tax-free goods on your departure from Greece. On arrival from these countries into Greece, you will not be allowed to buy goods at duty free prices as arrivals duty free shopping is not permitted within the European Union.
Some goods will be available to you on arrival at competitive prices, but these goods will be tax-paid. When departing from Greece your customs allowances will be the standard non EU international travel allowances for your destination country and also when arriving in Greece from one of these border countries your allowance on purchases abroad will be the international customs allowance.
However, if you then buy additional goods on arrival into Greece at these border stores, your purchases will be tax-paid so the standard intra-EU customs limits will apply to these specific purchases.
