Mali Losinj Ferry Port

EU European Port: This is an EU Member State, Duty Free or Tax-Free shopping is not permitted for intra-EU travellers on cross-channel ferries, domestic ferries between islands or to the mainland, or on journeys like Mediterranean cruises that are only visiting another EU Country.

Ships in the EU have 'Travel Shops', sometimes known as 'Travel Value Outlets', where the goods are competitively priced for the passenger. Liquor and tobaccos and other products are still sold on most of these ships on a tax-paid basis and the prices can often be cheaper than your home country.

If your cruise or ferry is travelling on to another port, which is outside the EU economic area, then buying duty free goods will be permitted on this leg of your journey and throughout the entire sailing. Enquire on board at the tax-free shop for full information and prices, the crew will be able to advise on the specific regulations related to your journey.

Croatia became a full member state of the EU European Union on July 1st 2013. This means that duty free and tax-free sales for intra-EU travellers will be terminated at all travel points in this country. Sales to international non-EU destinations are not affected.

Albania and Montenegro are not members of the EU, so the ferries or cruise ships operating from these Aegean and Adriatic Sea countries to Italy, Greece or any other EU member state, will have duty free shopping facilities on-board ship. The Ferry Operators on these routes include: Jadrolinija, Venezia Lines, Adria, Ilion Lines, Agoudimos and Azzurra.
